CHAPTER INNOVATIONS COMMITTEE - Year 2007
Director:
Shannon Clark, shannon@catalystconsultation.com
Committee Members:
Fostering Trust:
Committee members are responsible for creating a responsive, open environment for all to participate in our committee regardless of technological skill levels. We believe in fostering trust and strengthening our chapter through prompt communications via email and telephone, regular meetings and a commitment to educating members in regards to solutions that will bring our vision to life.
Vision:
To introduce technology solutions to strengthen our chapter.
Developing Strategies:
- Online outreach programs aimed at connecting Greater MN with chapter meetings
- Strengthen the existing financial planning community by providing more technology resources and learning opportunities
- To aid our fellow FPA committees to better serve our association, including the creation and integration of technology equipment to facilitate chapter meetings and special events
- To encourage people with all levels of technology familiarity and skillsets to participate in technology as applied to the financial planning industry and enriching our community
Engergizing Alliances:
We have two tiers of alliances: internal and external, often interwoven. We will endeavor to become a backbone for FPA MN committees by providing technology solutions to strengthen their purposes and more effectively achieve their goals. We will also energize alliances with external technology companies and National FPA to bring technology solutions into our chapter.
Measuring Results:
Establishing a means for online broadcast of chapter events will be our greatest goal, however the integration of new technology solutions into our chapter will be an ongoing endeavor. Our best measurement of achievement will be in the feedback from FPA MN committees. At year end, we will participate in meetings with committees or committee heads in assessing:
- Improvement of processes/technology for chapter meetings and special events Programs, Education and Symposium committees;
- Provision of outreach to potential and existing members in the Greater MN area Membership Committee and Member Services Committee
