PASSION STATEMENT
Providing financial guidance to those in need or crisis
Fostering Trust - We will foster trust by:
- Attending Committee Meetings
- Following through on our commitments
- Having open communication
- Listening to others
Vision - Our vision is to:
- Develop programs that meet the goals of our pro bono partners and document them so they can be transferred to other organizations
- Be a liaison between people in need and/or crisis and the Pro Bono volunteers of the FPA of MN
- Provide opportunities to give and receive financial planning assistance
- Demonstrate to the non-profit community that FPA is the Heart of Financial Planning
Developing Ongoing Strategies:
- Perspectives Supportive Housing - continue Financial Education Program (Laurie Salverda)
- MN Law Enforcement Memorial Association - continue working with the families of officers who have fallen in the line of duty (Lauri Salverda)
- AccountabilityMinnesota - to include business saving, credit report reviews, and financial planning seminars (Jason Plank)
- Financial Planning Day Event - advance planning for 2011 city and coordinating event planning (Becky Krieger)
- Acquire Volunteers - through communication (Melanie Hardie)
- Raise awareness of membership - through communication (Melanie Hardie)
- Individual requests and referrals from FPA web site - direct to volunteers (Melanie Hardie)
- Develop 1-2 new partnerships - identify opportunities throughout 2011 (Melanie Hardie)
- Resource List - review and update links for the FPA MN Resource List (Melanie Hardie)
- Work with other Committees - publicize accomplishments; manage volunteer database list with Financial Literacy (Melanie Hardie)
