To help FPAMN members build and maintain a practice based on strong professional ethics by communicating clearly to the membership and the leadership about legislative and regulatory matters.
Fostering Trust - We will foster trust by:
- Providing clear, concise language in our interpretations with chapter members
- Maintaining the utmost integrity in our own business practices; our own practice management must be beyond reproach if we are to be the embodiment of regulatory knowledge
- Recognizing that we as a committee may not always agree on an issue or share identical opinions, but we also recognize our individual opinions mean greater diversity and a greater, broader vision. We recognize each other's opinions cannot be right or wrong, but we recognize them as a conviction towards professionalism
Creating the Shared Vision - Our vision is to:
- Take action to further promote the 'profession' of financial planning and communicate to chapter members the current and proposed regulatory issues surrounding our profession
- Reiterate and reinforce the fact that the Professional Issues Committee represents the chapter's single point of contact for expertise in regulatory issues and changes
- Author position papers, visit legislators, interpret regulatory environment and supporting the initiatives of FPA national

- Positioning the committee as professional body of knowledge for items pertinent to regulatory landscape
- Disseminate information from various sources and relay that to our chapter board and members
