Resource Program

Where do you turn when you need assistance?

The Resource Program through a dedicated portion of the chapter’s web site is made available to members of FPA of MN and provides specialized assistance in areas where you may lack expertise.  This program is made possible by the volunteer efforts of the Member Services Committee and the willingness of individuals and firms to participate in this program.

Why Use the Resource Program?  We believe that by providing more opportunities for members to connect with other members and with allied professionals who support FPA of MN, we will achieve the common goal of pursuing excellence in the financial planning profession.

  • Provides a listing of financial planners and allied professionals (attorneys, accountants, real estate professionals, valuation professionals, etc.) with specific expertise in areas such as estate planning, business planning, retirement planning, business and asset valuation, pension and ERISA issues.
  • Each person or firm listed agrees to answer professional questions within a defined time constraint at no fee.
  • You may arrange with the listed person or firm for further consultation or work on a fee basis if member’s inquiry is beyond the scope of the time constraint for the no fee consultation.
  • Opportunity to expand the services you offer your clients without referring them elsewhere.
  • Allows access to expertise that may not be available in your current practice.
  • Improves the level of service to your clients and fosters greater client confidence of the financial professional.
  • Networking opportunities for members.
  • May reduce professional errors.
