While non-members are welcome to participate in a COP, after three meetings, participants are expected to become members of the FPA. Each group is also expected to follow the FPA of MN Value Statement.

Below are the descriptions of the COP groups, and all of the groups are looking for new members. If you are interested in joining a group, contact the leader.

Women Planners Group - A group of women planners discussing financial planning topics of concern. Leader - Bridget Handke, e-mail, 952-885-9088
NexGen Nerd's Circle - An organized community of young advisors within the FPA NexGen network who meet to learn and discuss topics relevant to the field of financial planning. Leader - Ian Nohner, e-mail, 612-353-5021

COPs in formative stages

If the topic is of interest and you want to get in on the ground floor and help shape the group direction, these groups are looking to grow.

Identifying the Unique Planning Needs for the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Community - We are a group of financial planning professionals in the greater Twin Cities area who meet in person once per month to discuss issues and share knowledge/best practices about how to best serve our LGBT client's unique planning needs.
