City of St. Paul and the Financial Planning Association of Minnesota invite you to volunteer at the Twin Cities Financial Planning Day. The concept is simple – local CFP® professionals will volunteer to provide one-on-one counseling and to present financial planning workshops to area residents. The benefits are plentiful – providing needed financial information to your community and raising awareness of the importance of financial planning.
At the event, volunteers will be seated at tables and will meet one-on-one with one individual or one couple at a time to address their financial questions and concerns. Selected volunteers will also conduct classroom-style workshops which will run concurrent with one-on-one sessions.
The Financial Planning Day is intended to be a free benefit for the public, and volunteers are not allowed to solicit business, distribute business cards or marketing materials, or follow up with attendees. In other words – there are no strings attached for the attendees. Instead, attendees who wish to seek professional financial planning services after the event may follow up with volunteers they met with using the volunteer directory that will be provided in the event handout.
